It means consuming food that is obtained directly from the farm especially green leafy vegetables such as cabbages, broccoli and spinach. Whole cereal is of great benefit when it comes to normalizing bowel habits. An addition of turmeric in the diet helps to deal with any existing inflammation and prevent future occurrences. To stimulate digestion, apple cider vinegar solution comes in quite handy.

A typical gut cleansing period takes about a fortnight although it could go up to six weeks, depending on how severe the damage is. Every individual is advised to undertake the exercise at least once or twice a year to keep the gut function at its best. One should also undertake a gut healing procedure after a vacation given the uncontrolled intake of alcohol and refined foods during this time. The post antibiotic phase is another indication for taking a cleansing product.

Pregnant women and those with underlying diseases are not ideal candidates for frequent gut cleanses. This is mainly because pregnant women are likely to have fetal growth retardation if they engage on intense healing sessions. Individuals with peptic ulcer disease may be more symptomatic if they take certain foods that are part of the gut cleanses.

Patients with inadequate blood levels may not be ideal for gut cleansing, given the fact that red meat is one of the foods to avoid in this process. Those who suffer from gastritis may have find it difficult to successfully go through a cleanse. This is because some foods recommended may cause them to experience abdominal pain and discomfort.

In a nut shell, cleansing of the gut helps to renew its function and functioning of the human body as a whole. It is particularly indicated for people who are obese and those who indulge too much in processed foods and alcohol. Cleansing can be done once or two times in a year.
