Bad postures especially when using computers should be avoided as they also contribute much when it comes to muscle distress around the neck.

Cervical radiculopathy is another common cause of distress which is caused by pressure or damage of the root nerve which connects the spine to the neck. Apart from pain, the condition is usually characterized with numbness and weakness of the surrounding body parts like the arms. The main cause of this disorder is prolapsed disc and cervical spondylosis. In this case, the inner softer tissue normally prolapses via the outer harder disc.
